Recipe: Second Breakfast

Did you know it's healthier to eat two breakfast meals rather than none?

First Breakfast

  • smoothies with protein powder
  • overnight oats with Jem
  • toast with Jem
  • yogurt (with Jem!)
  • hard boiled eggs

We are advocates for what we call Second Breakfast which happens usually around 10:30 a.m. –– we're up early, having a small First Breakfast by 7 a.m. so waiting until lunch is too long –– a small bowl of oats, seeds, nuts, fresh fruit, and Jem is just the thing we need. 

Second Breakfast

The photo below was taken from a Jem team member on their trip to Kauai, Hawaii. A chia seed breakfast mix with oats, fresh blueberries, and apple-bananas picked outside their Air B&B topped with Jem's Cinnamon Red Maca flavor blend did the trick before hitting the beach. A smoothie is about the same, depending on what you're craving.
